2006 California Chardonnay
This golden-colored Chardonnay is lush with aromas of butterscotch, candied orange peel, and mango, with flavors of guava, lemongrass, lemon lime soda, and hints of toasted marshmallows, creamy vanilla and a finish of subtle oak.
The inaugural vintage of Leese-Fitch is crafted to be a crowd-pleaser in white table cloth setting. This is a wonderful wine to drink alongside baked brie with peach salsa and toasted baguette, steamed shellfish in a Chardonnay-Saffron broth tossed with chopped tomatoes and Italian parsley, or barbecued chicken breasts grilled in foil packets with olive oil, Kaffir lime and fresh basil served alongside a pear and mache lettuce salad.
Established in 1836, The Leese-Fitch Adobe has been home to a girls' school, a hotel, a military headquarters, and several saloons and restaurants. In 2004, it became the home of The Other Guys, part of Don Sebastiani & Sons.
