2006 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
A medium straw color, this wine has aromas of fresh French Oak, caramel crème, banana’s foster, and papaya. In the mouth, this wine exudes flavors of rich vanilla custard, lemon sorbet, breadfruit, wild flower honey, and poached pears.
This 2006 Chardonnay benefited from six-month sur lees aging in the barrel for 30% of the blend. The 2006 vintage pairs well with cedar plank roasted salmon with creamy polenta, tuna tartare with avocado and ruby red grapefruit segments, or pork chops with a ginger-pear sauce and scalloped potatoes.
