2006 Lodi Sauvignon Blanc
This inaugural vintage of Lodi Sauvignon Blanc, is a platinum blonde color and boasts aromas of Meyer lemons, sweet custard, and crushed vanilla wafers. The flavors evolve from key lime pie and tangerine to crème brulee and lemon drops. This wine is well balanced, between the rich, fruity body and the racy acid, followed by lingering citrus on the finish.
This is a great wine for warm weather, with concentrated flavors and a light and crisp finish. This would pair wonderfully with grilled shrimp served on a bed of spring mix drizzled in a lemon Dijon vinaigrette. You can also enjoy this wine with linguine and clam sauce with a wedge of fresh lemon.
