California Viognier
Light aromas of apricot and floral wisteria blossom exemplify the lighter style of this fascinating varietal. The flavor profile is full of fleshy white peach and apricot with a touch of subtle papaya and tropical notes. Lightweight and crisp, this Viognier is rounded out by a bit of light oak and sur lie aging to add to the mouthfeel and depth. Mostly sourced from the shallow soils of River Junction and Lodi, some extended hang time gave this blend additional concentration while keeping the finish crisp. Finishing with lingering apricot tart and bosch pear flavors, this flawless varietal is one that every wine drinker should try.
Our Pepperwood Grove Viognier makes the transition from kitchen to dining room table to living room couch seemlessly: it is refreshing on its own and pairs wonderfully with food. Try a glass with a light mixed greens salad with pistachio, goat cheese, and tangerine vinaigrette, or simple pan-fried salmon and grilled peaches.
