The aroma on our 2009 Smoking Loon Sauvignon Blanc is very delicate, with layers of jasmine, green tea, and grapefruit. Citrusy grapefruit peel and key lime flavors give this wine a tart and juicy initial impression, with subtle grassy herbaceous notes that define Sauvignon Blanc. The relatively low alcohol gives this wine its classic varietal expression and bright, sunny disposition. Medium-bodied, dry, and floral, the nice, refreshing acidity on the mid-palate leads into a snappy finish with lingering ruby grapefruit notes.
